LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville dog bar celebrated its third anniversary with a party on Saturday.
PG&J's Dog Park Bar became Louisville's first dog park bar when it opened in January 2021. The dog bar is located at 800 Baxter Avenue in an old auto repair garage.Â
There was live music, a donation ceremony, specialty cocktails and dog birthday cake.Â
"Everything we are doing is all about raising money for the rescues in the city so that we can continue to keep the dogs off the streets and in happy homes," general manager Jana Jackson said.
Last year, the bar donated more than $40,000 in money and resources to various animal charities and local rescues.Â
Humans get in for free at the dog bar, and patrons don't have to own a dog to visit the bar. However, there are fees for dogs. There are membership passes for one day, month or year at a time.
