LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The historic Seelbach Hotel in downtown Louisville has a newly transformed suite perfect to transport guests back to the 1920s.

The room is inspired by F. Scott Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby.

Louisville Tourism's Instagram account debuted the room with photos captured by Tim Furlong.

The post said "The historic hotel brings to life the mystique and glamour of the 1920s and will transport guests back in time to the Jazz Age."

According to The Seelbach's website, Fitzgerald was stationed at Camp Taylor and would spend available weekends visiting the Seelbach for bourbon and cigars.

During his time visiting, Fitzgerald met a Cincinnati mobster, George Remus, who became the inspiration for "Jay Gatsby" in the book.

It's also said the Seelbach's Grand Ballroom was the backdrop for Tom and Daisy Buchanan's wedding reception, also featured in the novel.

The newly transformed Gatsby suite is available for booking starting February 1, according to Louisville Tourism.
