LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A woman was arrested Monday night after allegedly stabbing her live-in boyfriend in Louisville's Portland neighborhood.

According to LMPD spokesman Aaron Ellis, officers were called to the 200 block of North 32nd Street around 9:50 p.m. for a reported stabbing. When they arrived, they found a man inside who had been stabbed.

Officers rendered aid to the man and applied a tourniquet until EMS arrived. EMS then took the man to UofL Health Jewish Hospital with injuries believed to be non-life threatening.

Natasha Manrus, 26, was arrested on the scene. According to her citation, she was in a verbal argument with the man and it turned physical. She used a knife to cut her boyfriend's hand, causing injuries that will require surgery.

The citation said she also threatened to kill him prior to assaulting him. She is being charged with assault - domestic violence and terroristic threatening.

Manrus is due in court Tuesday morning.
