LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Bourbon & Beyond tickets have been in high demand, but reselling tickets can come at a price.

Millions of dollars are exchanged to get the full experience of Bourbon & Beyond.

"We were really excited about the lineup," Kate Comeau, who lives in Louisville, said.

Comeau is one of thousands who bought a couple of tickets.

"We bought them pretty quickly, just to make sure we got them before they sold out," Comeau said.

But back in March, Comeau didn't know her boyfriend would end up sick this week.

"We bought the ticket. We hoped to go. It didn't work out," Comeau said. "So we were going to sell our Sunday ticket. We went back to the website to sell it, and it said it was down for maintenance. And after three days of being down for maintenance, we're like, something doesn't feel totally right."

Comeau tried reselling the ticket on Lyte, a nationwide ticketing company. But earlier this month, it shut down with no warning.

"It's hard because they partnered with this other company," Comeau said.

Danny Wimmer Presents, the creator of the festival, provided a statement to WDRB.

It asks fans who used Lyte to sell their passes to email: info@bourbonandbeyond.com. Send the sold confirmation information for direct assistance. DWP said all passes purchased on Lyte will be honored.

"I love that for the people that got their ticket, but we're also, you know, out $300 plus," Comeau said. "It's not them. It's this other company. But at the same time, we tried so hard to do this the right way. We went by what was on their website. We went with their business partner."

Comeau said, typically, Lyte doesn't give sellers their money until after the festival is over, but now she doesn't know if that'll happen at all.

"It is what it is, but it'd be great if it wasn't," Comeau said.

The annual four-day festival at the Highland Festival Grounds at the Kentucky Exposition Center will be followed by the four-day Louder Than Life festival, which will combine to bring an estimated 375,000 people together to see more than 230 artists.

Sunday is the last and final day of the Bourbon and Beyond festival.
