LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Two Kentucky universities are joining a new effort to improve national security technology.

The Noble Research Foundation selected eight universities across the country, including University of Louisville and University of Kentucky to take part in a two-year pilot program, as reported by our partners at Louisville Business First.

The hope from the pilot program, called Science to Venture, is research coming out of UofL and UK will be fast-tracked into lab trials, eventually used to in real-world situations to improve the United States' national security infrastructure.

The Kentucky universities will focus on advanced manufacturing, materials, and biomedical research in the pilot program.
