LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Newly obtained 911 calls reveal the moments after a Louisville man crashed into a TARC bus stop May 25 while drunk, killing two women and seriously injuring another.

The crash happened Monday, May 25, just before 8 p.m. at the intersection of Rockford Lane and Dixie Highway, according to the Shively Police Department.

911 callers told dispatchers of a chaotic scene as victims lay injured near the bus stop.

"There’s a pickup truck. Somebody got ran over. Oh Jesus Christ," one caller said.

"Is anyone injured?" the dispatcher asked.

"Yes. Yes. He took the bus stop. There was someone at the bus stop they ran over," the caller responded.

Investigators said 45-year-old Kevin Moore was allegedly driving a pickup truck north on Dixie Highway when he ran a red light at Rockford Lane and crashed into an Oldsmobile that was turning into a nearby Bank of America parking lot.

After the initial crash, police said Moore drove onto the sidewalk and into a TARC bus stop where several people were standing.

"There’s a car crash. It hit the bus stop," a second caller told dispatch.

"Okay. Near Rockford Lane and Dixie Highway?" the dispatcher asked.

"Yes … they hit the bus stop. There's people laying everywhere," the second caller said.

One woman, later identified as 43-year-old Danielle Cordes, died at the scene. Another victim, Jasmine Hereford, later died from her injuries. A third woman suffered critical injuries, while two other people nearby suffered minor injuries.

Moore was arrested at the scene and charged with two counts of murder, in addition to charges of DUI, disregarding a traffic light, criminal mischief, assault, wanton endangerment and reckless driving. According to police, he admitted he had been drinking tequila about an hour before the crash. Officers said Moore showed signs of intoxication, including slurred speech and trouble keeping his balance.

Moore pleaded not guilty during his arraignment after the crash and a judge set his bond at $1 million.

The case will go before a grand jury on July 6.
