LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A local packaging company is closing its doors.

On Tuesday, Sept. 19, the packaging company WestRock announced to its employees that its shutting down operations in Louisville.

The company told WDRB News it anticipates ending production through January 2024 at its Louisville locations on Brook Street and Allmond Avenue.

Louisville employees will be able to apply for open positions across the company, and severance packages will be provided.
