LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Dressed in tie-dyed shirts and superhero capes about 100 kids hula-hooped, limboed, and had fun with a photo booth Sunday.

It was all part of a kick-off party to get the child cancer patients pumped up before heading off to Camp Quality.

Money is raised throughout the year so that children who are undergoing cancer treatment or are in remission can attend the summer camp for free. Organizers say its a great way to give back to the kids.

"I mean, they're going through a rough time," said Don Thompson, a Camp Quality sponsor. "It just gives them a way to just get away from it for a week and just have some fun."

While the kids are at the camp they will play games, go fishing, and -- according to camp organizers -- just be kids again.
