LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A woman was killed and a man was rushed to the hospital after a shooting in Louisville's Park Hill neighborhood Monday night.
Officers were called to the 2100 block of Dumesnil Street around 8:10 p.m. on a reported shooting, Louisville Metro Police Spokesperson Aaron Ellis said. That's near South 22nd Street and West Oak Street.
Once on scene, police found a man and a woman who had been shot inside a home. EMS transported both victims to University of Louisville Hospital, where the woman died shortly after arriving, Ellis said.
The man was rushed into surgery, but his condition is unknown at this time.
LMPD's Homicide Unit is handling the investigation, but has no suspects and has made no arrests.
Detectives are working to determine what led up to the shooting.
