LEXINGTON, Ky. (WDRB/WKYT) — A Lexington teen killed in a shooting over the weekend will be laid to rest next week.
The funeral and visitation for 16-year-old Di'Zhon Robertson will be held Monday at Consolidated Baptist Church in Lexington.
Robertson's funeral is being paid for by Father Jim Sichko who said his calling is to offer help to the grieving family and take some of the burden off them.
Five people were shot Saturday at Charles Young Park during East End Day. The four other people injured were a 4-year-old, a 14-year-old and two adults. All were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
Robertson died at a hospital after he was shot.
Jametrius Griffin, 18, was arrested and charged with murder, assault and tampering with physical evidence in connection with the shooting. He pleaded not guilty in court Monday.
