LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A 17-year-old boy is recovering at the hospital after being shot in the Louisville's Southside neighborhood Wednesday.
Louisville Metro Police responded to a shooting around 5:12 p.m. in the 100 block of East Kingston Avenue, off Southside Drive, LMPD spokesperson Dwight Mitchell said.
When officers arrived, they found a 17-year-old boy who had been shot and "sustained a graze wound," Mitchell said.
The teenager was taken to UofL Hospital with what Mitchell said are "non-life-threatening injuries."
LMPD's Non-Fatal Shooting Unit is investigating, and Mitchell said "detectives are working leads."
