LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Two burglary suspects were arrested Thursday after a traffic stop in Jennings County.
Shane Kimbler and Trinity Bennett were stopped by deputies with the Jennings County Sheriff's Department on a traffic violation when a deputy became suspicious of illegal activity.Â
Another deputy arrived on scene with his K-9, who identified the odor of narcotics inside the car. After searching, police found methamphetamine.
Following further investigation, Kimbler and Bennett were also identified as suspects in a burglary that had just happened in North Vernon, Indiana.
Police said stolen items were found in the car, along with multiple illegal items that Bennett admitted she had on her — two hypodermic needles, multiple individual "bindles" of a white powdery substance and approximately 2.5 grams of suspected Fentanyl.
Kimbler and Bennett are currently in custody at the Jennings County Jail. Police said the investigation is ongoing, and there could be additional charges.
