LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police are investigating after a woman and a teenager were injured in a shooting in the city's Taylor Berry neighborhood Friday night.
Officers were called to the reported shooting just after 8 p.m. in the 1600 block of Earl Avenue, according to LMPD spokesperson Aaron Ellis. That's off Colorado Avenue near 7th Street Road.
Once on scene, police found a woman who had been shot. As officers were providing first aid, they found a teenage girl who had been shot in the arm, Ellis said.
Both victims were alert and conscious while being taken to a local hospital with injuries not thought to be life-threatening, according to Ellis.
LMPD's Non-Fatal Shooting Unit is handling the investigation, but had no known suspects and had made no arrests. They're also working to figure out the relationship, if any, between the two victims.
