LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A woman was shot and killed in Louisville's Russell neighborhood Friday night. 

Louisville Metro Police responded to a ShotSpotter call around 10 p.m. in the 2600 block of West Madison Street, department spokesperson Dwight Mitchell said. 

When officers arrived to the scene, they found a woman who was shot. Mitchell said the woman was taken to UofL Hospital where she died. 

LMPD's Homicide Unit is investigating, but has no suspects and has made no arrests.
