LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Two people were hospitalized after an altercation led to a shooting in Louisville's Phoenix Hill neighborhood early Sunday morning.
Aaron Ellis, a spokesman for Louisville Metro Police, said officers responded to the area of 700 E. Madison Street on a reported shooting around 1:45 a.m.
Police said the residence had "obviously been damaged by gunfire" but they couldn't find any victims.
UofL Hospital told officers a man and a woman showed up with gunshot wounds.
Both victims sustained non-life threatening injuries.
According to police, the victims are related and got into an altercation which led to shots fired.
LMPD's Domestic Violence Unit is investigating.
