LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A southern Indiana man was arrested after a baby was taken to Norton Children's Hospital with injuries.

Indiana State Police said Friday 20-year-old Trent Morrow of Salem was arrested and charged with battery and neglect of a dependent causing serious bodily injury.

ISP was called to Norton Children's Hospital in Louisville on Monday, Aug. 4 and learned the Indiana Department of Child Services was also investigating. Interviews with Morrow and others were conducted, and the child was "evaluated by a forensic team." ISP said the alleged abuse happened on Aug. 2 in Washington County.

Morrow was arrested Thursday and is in the Washington County Jail. He was in court Friday, and a judge set a $30,000 full cash bond for Morrow. He is due back in court Aug. 28.
