LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A 21-year-old New Albany man was arrested Monday in connection to a June shooting in the Russell neighborhood that left a Louisville mother dead.

Isaac Conner Summers is charged with murder (complicity) after LMPD officers arrested him on Sept. 9.

A woman, now identified by police and family members as 27-year-old Deariah Young, was shot and killed June 26 in the Russell neighborhood at 26th and Market Streets while she was sitting at a bus stop. Her family tells WDRB Young leaves behind two young daughters.

According to court documents, Summers was seen in surveillance video that shows a white Dodge Dakota "with distinctive damage" circling the area before the driver and the passenger fired multiple shots at the bus stop where Young was sitting with two other people. Young was struck in the arm and torso by the gunfire and taken to UofL Hospital where she died from her injuries. The vehicle was registered in Summers' name.

Police believe another person at the bus stop was hit by a gunshot, but ran away before officers got there.

Summers pleaded not guilty in court Tuesday morning, and his bond was raised from from $75,000 to $150,000 cash. His next court appearance is scheduled for Sept. 19, according to online court records.

LMPD's Homicide Unit worked with New Albany Police Department, Floyd County Sheriff's Office and Southeast Indiana Regional SWAT for the arrest.
