LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A 25-year-old man has been identified as the victim of a fatal crash Tuesday night on the Gene Snyder Freeway in south Louisville. Â
According to Louisville Metro Police Spokesperson Sgt. Matt Sanders, dispatch started receiving calls about 10:15 p.m. Tuesday of a reckless driver driving northbound in the southbound lanes on Interstate 265, Gene Snyder, near Stonestreet Road.Â
Sanders said more calls came in saying the wrong-way driver, in a Toyota Corolla, hit another car, a Hyundai Sonata, head-on.Â
The wrong-way driver went to the hospital in critical condition. Three people were in the Hyundai, and one died at the scene.
Thursday, the Jefferson County Coroner identified the person who died as Stephen Coleman III, of Louisville.
The two other people in the Hyundai were hospitalized in critical condition.
LMPD's Traffic Unit is still investigating.Â
