LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Three men have been arrested and charged in southern Indiana for illegally reentering the United States after being deported.

Police arrested Martin Cortez-Lopez, 36, and Jamie Ortiz-Guzman, 41, in Bloomington, and Amin Reynosa-Diaz, 28, in Evansville between April 29 and May 1, according to a U.S. Department of Justice release.

The arrests and charges are part of Operation Take Back America. If convicted, each man faces between two and ten years in prison.

According to court documents, all three men are Mexican nationals who illegally returned to the United States and were found by Immigration and Customs Enforcement in the Southern District of Indiana. All men have previously been convicted of crimes they committed in the United States, or had charges pending against them.

Cortez-Lopez was previously convicted in Florida on charges of resisting an officer with violence, possession of a controlled substance and disorderly intoxication. He is also facing charges out of Monroe County, Indiana. 

Ortiz-Guzman was previously convicted in Indiana on DUI charges, and currently faces charges for operating a vehicle while intoxicated, causing serious bodily injury out of Monroe County.

Reynosa-Diaz was also previously convicted in Indiana for domestic battery. He is currently charged with driving while intoxicated in Hampton County, Virginia, and has several warrants for failing to appear in court.
