5 people arrested on drug charges after investigation in southern Indiana

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Five people were arrested on various drug charges in southern Indiana.

Indiana State Police said in a news release that an investigation began into Brian Harrison of Grandview, Indiana, after the public submitted multiple complaints and tips.

Harrison is currently on parole for a methamphetamine-dealing conviction.

Police said on Aug. 13, 2025, troopers found Harrison at a business in Reo, Indiana, and observed a suspected drug transaction that took place inside a school zone.

A deputy conducted a traffic stop near Rockport, Indiana, and determined the driver had left the business.

The deputy conducted a search and found Charles Parker in possession of suspected methamphetamine.

After obtaining probable cause of dealing meth, a trooper conducted a traffic stop on Harrison. He and his passenger, Haylee Moog, were arrested for dealing meth and taken to the Spencer County Jail, according to police.

Police said on Aug. 15, the investigation revealed that Ora Murphy was assisting Harrison, and she was found in Warrick County.

ISP found 32.5 grams of suspected meth, marijuana and a controlled substance belonging to Harrison. Murphy was arrested and taken to the Spencer County Jail.

On Aug. 19, a deputy received information that Robert Payton was also involved in drug activity with Harrison. Police found Payton to be in possession of suspected meth and marijuana.

Payton was arrested and taken to the Spencer County Jail.
