LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A 16-year-old boy was shot and killed Friday, Feb. 20, in Louisville's Jacobs neighborhood.
Officers were called to the 3500 block of Parthenia Avenue just after 8 p.m. on a reported shooting, according to Louisville Metro Police Spokesperson Aaron Ellis. That's off Berry Boulevard, near Manslick Road.
LMPD originally said a man was found on the ground with a gunshot wound. Officers provided aid until EMS arrived and pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
The Jefferson County Coroner's Office identified the victim Monday as Corey Wilson Jr.
LMPD's Homicide Unit is investigating, but has no suspects and has made no arrests as detectives look into what led up to the shooting.
