LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Breckinridge County Schools were closed Thursday after a threatening Snapchat post.

Superintendent Nick Carter announced the cancellation Wednesday evening in a Facebook post.

Carter said canceling classes allows more time for law enforcement to thoroughly investigate the threat.

The district also canceled after-school activities Wednesday at all of its schools out of an abundance of caution.

The FBI is working with the Sheriff's Office on the investigation. He encouraged anyone with information to report it to the district’s STOP Tipline by CLICKING HERE
