LMPD investigates a crime scene

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A boy is dead after a reported shooting at a park in east Louisville Monday evening.

A MetroSafe supervisor said police were called to the 600 block of Gatehouse Lane in Douglass Hills on a reported shooting at 7:35 p.m. That's off Blankenbaker Parkway and Finchley Road.

Responding officers found a male juvenile suffering from a gunshot wound at the gazebo at Warren Walker Park, according to Louisville Metro Police Spokesperson Aaron Ellis.

The boy was pronounced dead at the scene. LMPD's Homicide Unit is now conducting a death investigation.

No other information was immediately available.
