LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Louisville Metro Police are investigating after a woman's body was found inside a dumpster in southwest Louisville Wednesday morning.
According to LMPD, officers were called to the 3400 block of Vogt Avenue around 6:05 a.m. on a report of a body found in a dumpster.
When officers arrived, they located what appeared to be a woman deceased inside the dumpster.
Police said there were no obvious signs of foul play at the scene. LMPD Homicide Unit has been assigned to conduct a death investigation, which is standard procedure in cases involving unattended deaths.
The Jefferson County Coroner's Office identified the woman Friday morning as Amanda Sloss.
The investigation remains ongoing.
