LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A motorcyclist was injured and a truck driver was taken into custody after a hit-and-run crash on Interstate 265 South Friday evening.

Louisville Metro Police said emergency crews were called to the interstate near Bardstown Road around 6:15 p.m. for a collision involving a motorcycle and a pickup truck.

The motorcyclist was taken to UofL Hospital. Police said the rider's injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

The pickup truck driver left the scene before officers arrived, police said. Officers later identified the driver and took them into custody.

No other information was shared about the driver, or what caused the crash.

LMPD's 7th Division is investigating.
