LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- More charges have been filed against an Indiana daycare worker accused of sexually exploiting children.
Gabriel Garner appeared virtually in court Monday in Hendricks County.
The former Brownsburg day care employee was originally charged with more than 40 counts of child molestation, child exploitation and possession of child pornography.
Monday, Garner had five new charges filed against him, an attorney said, after new victims were identified. Investigators said the number of victims in the case is now up to eight.
According to court documents, investigators found more than 130 sexually graphic photos on Garner's phone. They were taken at the day care between May 2024 and January 2025, all involving pre-K children.
"I think every week they feel both a type of devastation and the understanding that justice is coming," attorney Catherine Michael said. "But it is that devastation that, as they learn more than any parent can imagine, it is absolutely heartbreaking for them."
Investigators said an additional 125,000 pornographic images were found on Garner's phone. Those had been downloaded, and were not taken at the day care.
Police also arrested two other employees, accused of failing to report Garner to the state.
