LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — What began as a routine traffic stop Thursday afternoon ended with a Georgetown man behind bars and a vehicle full of drugs, a stolen license plate and a handgun seized.

Indiana State Police stopped a car on Daisy Lane just before 3 p.m. and learned the driver, 52-year-old Chad Steven Farnsley, was wanted in Harrison County on probation violation warrants tied to prior drug convictions.

Police said Farnsley surrendered without incident during the coordinated felony stop.

Troopers searched the vehicle and found more than 5 grams of suspected methamphetamine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, a license plate reported stolen out of New Albany last November, and a handgun loaded with ammunition.

Farnsley is facing several charges including possession of meth and a handgun and being a habitual offender. He is being held at the Floyd County Jail.
