LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Indiana State Police arrested a man for reckless driving last week after he refused pull over, leading to a high-speed pursuit.
According to ISP, a sergeant tried to pull a car over just after 2 p.m. Friday for going 80 miles per hour on Interstate 65 northbound, near the 3.8 mile marker in Clark County.
The driver, later identified as 43-year-old Joshua Ashley, of Nevada, refused to stop, police said, and continued to pick up speed down the interstate. According to police, Ashley was driving between 90 and 95 miles per hour.
The car entered a construction zone, which is when another ISP trooper performed a PIT maneuver, successfully bringing the pursuit to an end.
Ashley was arrested at the scene and charged with resisting law enforcement with a vehicle, reckless driving and cited for speeding.
He is currently in custody at Clark County Jail.
