LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A southern Indiana man wanted on multiple charges was arrested Monday morning after a vehicle pursuit, followed by a foot pursuit.
Indiana State Police said a trooper tried pulling over Anthony Arnold, 41, of Clarksville, for speeding on State Road 135 near Dutch Creek Road around 11:20 a.m.
Arnold pulled into the driveway of a nearby home, but sped off through the yard and back onto the highway before coming to a stop, police said. The trooper began pursuing Arnold, as more officers responded.
Police said Arnold continued south on S.R. 135, turned onto Liberty Church Road and South Palmyra Road before stopping as he approached Strickland Road. Police said that's when Arnold got out of the vehicle and fled on foot towards Blue River.Â
ISP said Arnold made it across Blue River and into an open field where he was taken into custody.
Arnold was wanted on warrants out of Clark County for possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon, burglary, and possession of methamphetamine. He now faces additional charges of resisting law enforcement with a vehicle, and resisting law enforcement. He was taken to the Washington County Jail after being cleared medically by EMS.Â
