LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man was arrested on drug charges after he was found passed out at a southern Indiana gas station over the weekend.
According to Indiana State Police, an officer was responding to an unrelated call at a gas station in Memphis, Indiana, around 1:30 a.m. Saturday, when he saw a man passed out behind the wheel of his truck at one of the fuel pumps.
Police said the hose from the pump station was still in the truck, which was pulling a trailer full of motorcycles.
The officer later found out that the truck and its driver, John Hilbert Kuiper, 43, of Michigan, had been there for two hours.
While checking on Kuiper and trying to wake him up, ISP said the officer found suspected drugs and drug paraphernalia.
EMS responded and Kuiper was medically cleared before he was arrested for possession of a narcotic drug, possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was taken to the Clark County Jail.
