LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — The body of a 48-year-old Louisville man was recovered Saturday from a private pond in southeast Indiana.
According to the Indiana Department of Natural Resources, conservation officers responded to a private pond in Rising Sun after receiving a report of tire tracks leading into the water.
With the help of sonar technology, authorities found a vehicle submerged in 10 feet of water. Officials said the body of Michael Downey was found near the vehicle.
According to an autopsy, the cause of death was drowning. The incident remains under investigation.
