LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- LMPD is investigating after a woman was found with a gunshot wound in the parking lot of the Circle K in the PRP neighborhood early Monday morning.
According to LMPD spokesperson Aaron Ellis, officers were called to the 7800 block of St. Andrews Church Road around 2:00 a.m. Monday morning for a reported shooting.
Officials located a woman suffering from a gunshot wound to her leg. She was alert and conscious.
She was transported to University Hospital with injuries that are believed to be non-life threatening.
It is believed that the shooting happened at another location and the victim was brought to the above address, according to Ellis.
LMPD’s Domestic Violence Unit is handling the investigation.
