LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Four people were injured Monday afternoon in a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 71 in Carroll County.
The crash happened around 4:25 p.m. near the 47-mile marker and involved four vehicles, including a tractor-trailer, according to Carroll County EMS Chief Michael Ratliff.
One person was trapped in a vehicle and had to be extricated before being flown to UofL Hospital, Ratliff said. A second person involved in the crash was also airlifted to UofL Hospital.
Another injured person was taken by ambulance to Norton Children's Hospital, while a fourth patient was transported to Carroll County Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.
Ratliff said there were no fatalities.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
