LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run crash on Preston Highway in Okolona on Monday night, according to Louisville Metro Police.
LMPD spokesperson Aaron Ellis said a person was hit by a vehicle in the 7100 block of Preston Highway, near Chateau Lane, around 9 p.m. Police were told by witnesses that a man was walking on Preston Highway when he was hit by a passenger vehicle traveling northbound.
Police said the vehicle, believed to be a white passenger sedan, didn't stop after hitting the man. Police believe the car has damage to the front passenger side.
The vehicle continued northbound on Preston Highway and then turned right onto Fern Valley Road. Ellis said no other vehicles were involved in the crash.
LMPD's Traffic Unit is investigating the incident. The man killed hasn't been identified.
