LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man was taken to the hospital after being shot in the Smoketown neighborhood early Thursday morning.
According to LMPD spokesperson Dwight Mitchell, officers responded to a call of a reported shooting in the 700 block of E. Jacob Street around 1:00 a.m. on Thursday morning.
When they arrived, they found a man who had been shot.
He was transported to University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to Mitchell.
LMPD's Non-Fatal Shooting Unit is investigating.Â
