LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A southern Indiana man arrested in a cold case murder was ordered to be held without bond in his first court appearance Wednesday.
Derek Pixley, 33, was arrested Monday for the murder of his ex-girlfriend Brittney Boman, according to Indiana State Police. The Henryville woman was found shot on Oct. 2, 2022, on Brownstown Road. She died at the hospital three months later, in Dec. 2022. During that time, Boman was never able to identify the shooter, according to family spokesperson Shawn Bostock.
According to court documents, Boman had an active protective order against Pixley at the time of the shooting.
Pixley remains in custody at the Clark County Jail in Jeffersonville.
