LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Kentucky State Police are searching for an escaped inmate from Lee County.

Jeffrey Harrison, 43, was being held in the Three Forks Regional Jail in Beattyville. But he was inadvertently released last Thursday after falsely identifying himself as his brother, who was scheduled for release.

Harrison is a 5-foot-9-inch white man, with brown hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a red jacket, blue jeans, camouflage shoes and a black hate.

Police believe Harrison left the area in an older model white Subaru. Anyone who sees Harrison is asked to call local police or KSP Post 7 at (859) 623-2404.
