LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Kentucky's newest millionaire is behind bars in Florida.

LEX18 reports James Farthing, 50, of Georgetown was arrested near St. Petersburg for allegedly kicking a police officer in the face during a bar fight. According to court affidavits, Farthing and his girlfriend, Jacqueline Fightmaster, 42, were both taken into custody Tuesday night following a fight at the TradeWinds Resort at St. Pete's Beach.

Records show Farthing allegedly punched a hotel guest in the face and allegedly kicked a Pinellas County sheriff's deputy in the face during the fight. The report said Farthing tried to run after the encounter but didn't make it far. The deputy was left with swelling and redness to the right side of his face.

He is charged with felony battery on a law enforcement officer and two misdemeanors including battery and resisting an officer. Farthing remains at the Pinellas County Jail. He is being held without bond on a parole violation out of Kentucky. Jail records show he has $295 in his jail commissary account.

Fightmaster is charged with public intoxication and has been released from jail. Court records said she was "very intoxicated and was yelling, screaming and making incoherent statements" and wanted to fight other bar patrons.

Farthing and his mother, Linda Grizzle, were at Kentucky Lottery headquarters on Monday after winning the Powerball jackpot on a $2 ticket from Saturday's drawing. The pair said they would share the $167.3 million, which is the largest prize ever awarded in Kentucky. The ticket was purchased at the Clark's Pump N Shop in Georgetown.
