LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Louisville Metro Police used its new drone program to track down a pair of suspects before officers even got to the scene.

The incident unfolded just before 10 p.m. Thursday.

Police got a report of two people stealing a $4,000 air conditioning unit from Glendora Avenue, near 43rd and Herman Streets. That's not far from Shawnee Park.

LMPD used its drone to find the suspects, and a truck parked near the reported address.

With the drone team's help, police were able to stop the truck and arrest the two people inside, Daniel Forbes and Destiny Walton.

Both are charged with criminal mischief and felony theft.

LMPD said the air conditioning unit was damaged and found metal road signs and copper wire in the truck as well.
