LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A 34-year-old Louisville man was arrested over the weekend in connection with a shooting in Louisville's Southside neighborhood earlier this year.Â
Officers from LMPD's Non-Fatal Shooting Unit arrested Cantrell Chappell on Sept. 14 in connection with the shooting that happened Jan. 4, in the 100 block of Southland Boulevard. Officers from the Second Division and a K-9 unit assisted with the arrest.Â
Chappel is charged with first-degree assault, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon and first-degree robbery. He was also picked up on a federal probation violation warrant.
Chappel is scheduled to be arraigned on Sept. 16.Â
