LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville man is being held on a $1 million bond for a murder charge after police say a man was found dead in a parking lot Wednesday morning in Hardin County.

According to the Radcliff Police Department, officers were sent to 678 Knox Boulevard around 4:24 a.m. on a reported shooting. Once on scene, police found a man who was deceased in a parking lot. 

Officers began investigating and processing the scene as patrol officers began searching for the suspect. 

Less than two hours later, police said the suspect, Nicholas Vandergrift, 23, of Louisville, was arrested without incident.

Vandgrift was charged with murder, tampering with physical evidence, and assault for domestic violence. He's being held at the Hardin County Detention Center.

The victim has not yet been identified.
