LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A former Indiana restaurant owner is facing charges after he allegedly "touched multiple female employees inappropriately over the past four years," according to state police.

Marc Gebhart, a former co-owner of Vat & Barrel Restaurant in downtown Seymour, was arrested Monday by Indiana State Police on multiple counts of battery.

ISP said in a news release Tuesday that detectives at its Versailles Post began investigating in February after a former employee reported Gebhart, 67, touched her inappropriately in 2023.

Through their investigation, ISP found out there were more former employees who had reported being touched inappropriately by Gebhart at the restaurant between its opening in 2020 and early 2024.

An arrest warrant was later issued for Gebhart on seven counts of misdemeanor battery, ISP said.

He was arrested Monday and taken to the Jackson County Jail, where he was released after posting a $355 bond less than 15 minutes after he was booked, according to the jail's booking log.

Gebhart will appear for his initial court appearance at a later date.
