LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A Louisville man was arrested and charged with sodomy after police said he asked a 12-year-old for sexual acts.
Marviuan Jackson appeared in court Thursday and a judge set his bond to $100,000.
According to court documents, Jackson met a 12-year-old girl at the Americana Community Center where he was passing out water to the victim and other children.
The 12-year-old gave Jackson her phone number and he later in the night asked if she needed a ride home.
A citation said Jackson had her perform a sexual act on him. The victim has an audio recording stating she was only 12 years old and reported the incident to police.
Police said Jackson gave a mirandized statement to detectives admitting that he picked the victim up and the sexual act was performed.
Jackson has a preliminary hearing on Jan. 17.
