LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A traffic stop in Louisville led to police uncovering more than 1 pound of meth and several ounces of psychedelic mushrooms.
Louisville Metro Police said in a Facebook post Thursday that officers made the stop as part of an ongoing narcotics investigation.
Officers uncovered 1.5 pounds of meth and 4.4 ounces of psychedelic mushrooms worth $5,000, LMPD said.
"While this investigation remains active and we are not yet releasing the identifies of those involved, we wanted to provide a glimpse of what our officers and detectives are encountering on the streets every day," the department said.
LMPD said these cases often lead to larger operations, more arrests and larger drug seizures.
