LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville man convicted of murder was arrested again after police said he tried to escape the courtroom.
Arthur Pruitt, 46, was convicted of a November 2021 murder on Friday. After learning of his conviction, police said he ran out of the courtroom. Officers tackled him and put him in handcuffs.
Court documents reveal Pruitt told officers, while in custody, that they could "get smoked too."
Pruitt later told police to "remember this face, because I can get out and kill you all too."
In addition to being convicted of the November 2021 shooting, Pruitt is now charged with attempted escape, resisting arrest, and three counts of second-degree terroristic threatening.
Pruitt was arraigned on the new charges Saturday morning.
