LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man and woman from Louisville were arrested in New Albany, Indiana, for allegedly shoplifting from a Home Depot.
According to Indiana State Police, an off-duty trooper arrested Carl Edward Estelle Jr., 66, and Casey Tysha Billingsley, 46, on Tuesday after multiple people told him the two had stolen items and were loading them into a truck.
ISP had discussions with Estelle, Billingsley, employees and viewed surveillance footage showing the thefts.
There were three 30-inch interior slab doors and construction equipment in the truck, police said.
Billingsley had active warrants from Clark County for possession of paraphernalia and false informing and also from Louisville Metro Police for shoplifting.
ISP found a ceramic smoking device with burnt residue and three prescription pill bottles with non-prescribed medications in her purse, police said.
Estelle was charged with theft while Billingsley was charged with theft, possession of a legend drug and possession of paraphernalia with a prior conviction.
They were taken to the Floyd County Jail.
