LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police is asking for the public's help to identify the victim of a fatal shooting in the Jacobs neighborhood.
Louisville Metro Police officers were called to the 3600 block of Manslick Road at 7:22 p.m. Wednesday on a reported shooting, department spokesperson John Bradley said. That's off 7th Street Road/Berry Boulevard, not far from Shively.
Once on scene, police found a man who had been shot multiple times. Bradley said he was taken to UofL Hospital, where he later died.
LMPD said Thursday it still doesn't know who the victim is.
"We are asking anyone who may have information about this tragic incident or who may recognize the victim to come forward," LMPD Homicide Commander Lt. Les Skaggs said in a news release. "Every tip, no matter how small, could help us solve this case and bring justice to the victim and his family."
The victim is described as a Black male, somewhere between 16 and 20 years old. He was about 6 feet tall with a slim build. At the time of the shooting, he was wearing a gray Nike zip-up hoodie, black Adidas pants and a white Jordan shoes. He has a long scar on his left hip, black curly hair and a faint mustache.
LMPD's Homicide Unit is investigating but has no suspects and has made no arrests.
