LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Louisville Metro Police is asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect believed to be involved in an early Sunday morning shooting on Bardstown Road that left a man hospitalized.
LMPD released the photos of the suspect Monday on social media. Police said the suspect is believed to be a short man, approximately 5 feet, 1 inches tall to 5 feet, 4 inches tall, and that he could be armed and dangerous.
The shooting happened around 2:30 a.m. Sunday in the 1200 block of Bardstown Road. Officers found a 28-year-old man shot in the leg, an injury he's expected to survive following treatment at UofL Hospital.
This was one of two shootings on Bardstown Road that morning. A little more than an hour later, around 3:45 a.m., officers found a 29-year-old man shot in the leg in the 1100 block of Bardstown Road. He was also taken to UofL Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
LMPD said both shootings happened after fighting began near The Hub and Atomic, two businesses on Bardstown Road just south of Grinstead Drive. In total, police said they arrested 15 people Saturday night, including four juveniles, and seized four guns.
