LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A woman is recovering after she was shot early Tuesday morning.Â
Around 2 a.m. UofL Hospital staff notified officers from LMPD's First Division that a woman was "brought to the hospital by private means" with a gunshot wound to the leg, according to a news release.
Investigators determined the victim may have been shot in the area of 7th Street, near Berry Blvd. Officers were sent to that location, and found a scene where they believe the woman was shot.Â
LMPD's Non-Fatal Shooting Unit is handling the investigation, but there are no known suspect(s) at this time. Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call the LMPD crime tipline at 502-574-LMPD (5673) or use the department's online Crime Tip Portal. You can remain anonymous.Â
