LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville police want help identifying a girl who may have been involved in a bus stop fight that ended with an adult and a Jefferson County Public Schools student being shot.
In a social media post, Louisville Metro Police said, "We need to identify her and ask her some questions about her involvement during the shooting incident at 24th//Magazine where a juvenile was shot after school on September 13th."
WDRB covered a shooting that happened about 4:30 p.m. on that date at that intersection. That's where an adult and a JCPS student were shot and sent to the hospital. Police have not identified them.
Video sent to WDRB after the fight showed a large group of people yelling on 24th Street. Teens and adults then shift toward a sidewalk, where the fighting intensifies.
One woman's shirt is pulled off, another person hits someone else with a shoe. Video shows another woman holding a brick. Then, another gets chased with what appears to be a long stick or piece of wood. That's when someone pulled a gun. The video recorded three gunshots.
JCPS later said in a letter to parents that the juvenile that was shot is an Eastern High School student. A district spokesperson also said 24th and Magazine, where the shooting occurred, is not a JCPS bus stop.
LMPD is asking anyone with information about the woman or what happened to call the anonymous tip line at 502-574-LMPD (5673). You can also use the department's crime tip portal.Â
